Teriyaki Sauce

Teriyaki sauce to use in a chicken and rice dish

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup soya sauce
  • 5 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Directions

  1. Combine 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger and garlic powder in sauce pan over medium heat. Cook until nearly heated through, about 1 minute
  2. Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water together; stir until dissolved and add to sauce pan. Cook and stir until sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes
