Teriyaki sauce to use in a chicken and rice dish
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup soya sauce
- 5 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tsp ginger
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
Directions
- Combine 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger and garlic powder in sauce pan over medium heat. Cook until nearly heated through, about 1 minute
- Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water together; stir until dissolved and add to sauce pan. Cook and stir until sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes
