Chicken Teriyaki

Tasty chicken teriyaki

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into chunks)
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 ½ tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic (or 2 tsp minced)
  • 2 tsp minced or grated ginger
  • 1 ½ tsp cornstarch
  • toasted sesame seeds (optional)
  • scallions (optional)

Directions

  1. In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger and cornstarch
  2. Heat oil over medium heat, add chicken to skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and almost cooked through (around 10 minutes)
  3. Pour sauce over chicken and simmer until sauce has thickened and chicken is completely cooked (about 5 minutes)
  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions (optional). Serve over rice
