These biscuits are a copy cat recipe of Red Lobster biscuits. They are cheesy and delicious!

Ingredients

Biscuits

  • 2 cup flour (substitute with gluten free flour if needed)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 ½ cup shredded cheese

Topping

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp parsley (dried or freshly chopped)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt and cayenne pepper (if using)
  3. Add melted butter and buttermilk to dry ingredients
  4. Gently FOLD IN THE CHEESE
  5. Using a 1/4 cup measure, scoop the batter evenly onto the baking sheet. Place into oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
  6. For the topping, whisk together melted butter, parsley and garlic powder in a small bowl
  7. Working one at a time, brush the tops of the biscuits with the butter mixture
